Updates On Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy

Last week, the federal government provided more details on the extension of the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS). Reminder: The CEWS has been extended by an additional 12 weeks to August 29, 2020.

Regulations are being introduced to maintain the same eligibility criteria.
They have recently completed consultations with businesses on potential adjustments to the program, including the 30% revenue decline threshold.
Any potential changes would commence as of periods five (July 5 to August 1) and/or six (August 2 to August 29).
